This year marks a very special milestone for Roy Newton Furniture as we celebrate 10 years of installing bespoke fitted furniture across Staffordshire.
As a family-run company based in Cannock, we’ve spent the past decade designing, manufacturing and installing made to measure fitted furniture. This has included fitted bedrooms, sliding wardrobes, home offices, media walls, and unique one-off projects. Every installation has been tailored perfectly to the customer’s home and lifestyle.
To mark our anniversary, we’re looking back at how it all began. We’re also revisiting the places we’ve worked and some of our favourite projects from the past 10 years
How It All Began: 10 years of Bespoke Fitted Furniture
Roy Newton Furniture is a family-run business owned and operated by Roy himself.
Roy started his furniture career at 20 as a bench hand, following in his father’s footsteps. He later spent several years in manufacturing before training for two years as a furniture fitter.
He went on to spend eight years installing bespoke bedroom furniture, gaining valuable hands-on experience in homes across the Midlands.
It was during this time that the idea of creating his own manufacturing business began to take shape.
After searching for the right base for the next chapter, a unit became available at Cannock Enterprise Centre. It felt like the right moment to take the leap! That decision marked the beginning of Roy Newton Furniture.

Fitted Furniture Projects Across Staffordshire and the Midlands
Over the past 10 years, we’ve designed and installed bespoke fitted furniture across a wide area.
From Cannock and Lichfield through to Ashbourne and Derby, every project has been completely unique to the home and the customer’s needs.
No two spaces are ever the same, which is what makes made-to-measure furniture so rewarding to design and install.

We are based in Cannock, so a large proportion of our work over the past 10 years has been right here on our doorstep.

Our 10-year celebrations got off to a fantastic start with not one, but two 5-star Google reviews at the beginning of May.
As a local business, customer feedback means everything to us. Every project we complete is designed to improve both the look and functionality of our customers’ homes.
Receiving positive reviews is always a reminder that the care and attention we put into our work makes a real difference.
We then finished the month with a handwritten review and card from a lovely local customer.
Unique and Bespoke Furniture Projects
While we are best known for fitted bedrooms, sliding wardrobes and home office furniture, over the years we’ve also been trusted with some truly unique projects.
These have included everything from a custom-built vivarium to a fitted dining area inside a barge.
These projects are what truly define bespoke furniture — no standard sizes, no limitations, just completely tailored solutions built around the customer’s space.
